Unknown Hero - Thompson VI

If there is such thing as light, I will be the shadow

If the is such thing as dawn, I will be the twilight

If the is such thing as hope, I will be the despair

If there is such thing as success, I will be the failure

If there is such thing as loved, I will be the hated

I will walk the path of darkness

Unappreciated, is what I will be expecting

For they know nothing

For the proof of my existence

Such thing as God existed

I am condemned by fate

How unfortunate, such tragedy

Only one thing I could only do…

Embrace it.

-Thompson

such melancholy, such emotion...go get a life =) its a nice poem though, being the opposite of everything, yet in the same way, there are other things people are opposite towards you negatively...

i agree with jesse, i like this poem! :) the theme of uncertainty ("if there is such.."), hopelessness, and irony ("embrace it..") really blends well together. i commend you for it, thompson, although you should go and talk to someone if you're really feeling this way.. don't be too "donny", okay? :D

hehe, thx, if you like this poem, thx for the concern but it is not my feeling what this poem is based is just in inspiration from "Unknown Hero" that the role in his/her life is just to be the opposite of everything good. I just only applaud his/her role, to be such role for without him/her there will be no good. But other than that, we should treat him/her the way his/her role is.

does that make any sense to u?

this is way cool.
this is not about rejection and exclusion by the society but standing in the position we chooses to stand.
Even the most extreme ideas give benefit to the people, thus the title 'hero'.
To clarify, most probably we must call the hero 'unacknowledged' instead of 'unknown'.
I disagree if this is about hopelessness since it clearly states something optimistic at the end. 'Embrace it' meaning accepting the position, hence the person keeps on living despite the 'hardship'.
There is a sombre atmosphere; however, this is only because the readers position themselves the opposite of this hero.
For the hero itself, this is living a heroic life! (so this person doesn't need to 'go get a life')
it is an amazing idea that without this person, how do we know who we are? hence we have to question ourselves if there is really such a thing as light, dawn, be loved...
i applaud you dear brother!
